For our customer based in Malta - an European Institution, we are looking for a Senior SharePoint Infrastructure & Platform Engineer to join our team in the area of international protection - supporting Member States in applying the package of EU laws that governs asylum, international protection, and reception conditions. You will play a crucial role in taking care of the infrastructure and platform engineering with strong focus on operations, automation, and hybrid architecture, migrations and security.

The role is based 90% remotely with a mandatory 10% onsite presence (read: first 5 days of onboarding must be done onsite in the client offices in Valletta, Malta). You need to be based in EU member state and have the full work rights to work as a freelancer/contractor (B2B).

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Monitor and report on usage as well as perform security audits of the systems.

• Interact with project teams and other stakeholders involved in SharePoint infrastructure and applications.

• Produce and maintain documentation relevant to the activities.

• Perform monthly patching of SharePoint infrastructure.

• Suggest and implement improvements such as automation of the maintenance activities.

• Build SharePoint SE environments, using AutoSP Installer and DSC (Desired State Configuration).

• Improve redundancy and disaster recoveries capabilities of the EUAA SharePoint Farms.

• Administration of platforms SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2016/2019, SharePoint SE and SharePoint Online

  platforms.

• Automations for SharePoint online using Power App flows.

• Perform migrations from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint SE.

• Project coordination and training procedures, preferably involving a recognised methodology.

• SharePoint architecture both on-premises an online.

• Independently perform tasks management in the SharePoint environment, Atlassian suite or similar software.

Are you the perfect match?

• University degree (BSc/MSc);

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience preferably in MS technologies/SharePoint;

• Advanced hands-on experience in the tasks above, particularly in: Microsoft SharePoint technologies, infrastructure, security audits, patching, automation, migration, AutoSP Installer and DSC (Desired State Configuration), SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2016/2019, SharePoint SE and SharePoint Online platforms, Power App flaws, SharePoint architecture both on-premises an online.
