THE BACKGROUND

For our customer based in Malta - a European Institution, we are looking for an Senior Developer - SharePoint to join their team in the area of international protection - supporting Member States in applying the package of EU laws that governs asylum, international protection, and reception conditions. You will play a crucial role in providing practical, legal, technical, advisory, and operational assistance to achieve harmonized asylum practices.

Project Details

• Duration: 90-day (short-term)

• Location: in any EU country

• Work Model: Hybrid, with a minimum of 9 days onsite in Valletta, Malta

• Important: The first 5 working days must be completed onsite at the client's premises in Valletta as part of the onboarding process

• Requirement: A clean criminal record is mandatory at the time of application

YOUR MISSION

• Plan and execute deployments of new SharePoint farm versions and environments.

• Develop and maintain automated patching processes for SharePoint farms, incorporating Microsoft zero downtime

  patching principles.

• Implement and operationalise Microsoft SharePoint On-Demand Assessments.

• Troubleshoot complex SharePoint infrastructure and application issues.

• Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and service owners.

• Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree (BSc/MSc)

• Be eligible to obtain a criminal record

• Ability to understand, speak and write English, B2.

Professional Experience

• 10+ years of IT experience, including extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint infrastructure administration and support

• Proven expertise in SharePoint farm deployments, upgrades, patching, automation, and operational support

• Strong experience with SharePoint Server, Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory, and PowerShell

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex SharePoint platform issues in large-scale enterprise environments

• Experience implementing Microsoft SharePoint best practices, health assessments, and high-availability solutions

• Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
