At KEYES, we do more than keep pace with technological developments: we help shape them!

Our strength lies in our complete control over our infrastructure. With our own data centres, we provide our clients with full data sovereignty, enhanced security and compliance with the strictest privacy and governance requirements.

We have also developed our own generative artificial intelligence solution, SophIA, a Large Language Model (LLM) designed to meet businesses’ specific needs. Unlike generic solutions on the market, SophIA can be deployed, configured and customised directly within the client’s environment, ensuring full control over sensitive data and seamless integration with existing business processes.

Joining KEYES means contributing to innovative projects where AI, sovereign cloud and next-generation infrastructure come together to create high-value solutions. It also means growing within a company that values expertise, innovation and autonomy, while making a tangible impact on tomorrow’s technological challenges.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently analyse, critically assess and structure complex business requirements, and defend proposed solutions to stakeholders.

  • Contribute to, design and validate DWH and data mart architectures, acting as the technical authority within your scope.

  • Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines, from ingestion through to data certification.

  • Ensure the quality and performance of delivered solutions across your entire scope by applying formalised data quality rules.

  • Lead end-to-end delivery, from analysis through to production deployment and user support.

  • Structure and facilitate requirements-gathering and design workshops with business and IT teams.

  • Develop and present data recommendations to non-technical decision-makers.

  • Contribute to the development of practices and standards within the competence centre.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A role offering plenty of responsibility and challenges.

  • The opportunity to join a certified Top Employer, recognised for several consecutive years for HR practices that foster an excellent working environment and employee well-being.

  • Personalised career support aligned with your expectations and ambitions, with opportunities to grow through our various development plans.

  • Continuous learning through numerous training and certification opportunities. An innovative e-learning platform offering unlimited access to more than 25,000 technical and soft skills learning resources from Edflex and Udemy.

  • Hybrid working: depending on your team assignment, you will work from our offices in the Liège region, Brussels or Heverlee. You can also work from home up to three days a week.

  • A comprehensive compensation package.

  • As part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact, KEYES has transitioned to an electric company car fleet.

  • Fun moments together—food trucks, barbecues, after-work events, family days and more.

  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in BI and Data, including at least 3 years on end-to-end DWH projects involving direct client engagement.

  • Proven experience working with business and IT stakeholders at all levels, including decision-makers.

  • Experience in multi-project or multi-client environments: ability to manage competing priorities and adapt communication to different stakeholders.

Technical skills

Must Have:

  • Advanced SQL: query optimisation, tuning, stored procedures, and diagnosing and resolving performance issues in DWH environments.

  • ETL/ELT: in-depth knowledge of data transformation, orchestration and loading concepts, with hands-on experience using at least one ETL tool—ability to design robust ETL pipelines and diagnose production issues.

  • Data modelling: expert-level knowledge of Kimball / Star Schema—fully independent design of fact and dimension tables, management of Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), and validation and evolution of existing models.

  • DWH architecture: end-to-end data warehouse design, selection of integration patterns suited to data sources and use cases, population and management of the warehouse’s various layers, and quality management at every level.

  • Building data pipelines and DWH components: ability to implement end-to-end ETL pipelines, optimise loading performance and ensure the maintainability of delivered solutions, acting as the technical authority.

  • Git / version control: branch management, code reviews and DataOps practices—ability to work in a collaborative development environment incorporating CI/CD practices.

  • Data quality: design and implementation of data quality rules, profiling of heterogeneous sources, anomaly monitoring and reporting on data quality to business teams.

  • Data lifecycle: strong command of data lineage from source to consumption, traceability of transformations at every stage, and the ability to conduct impact analyses when models or sources change.

Nice to Have:

  • Data Vault: knowledge of the Data Vault 2.0 methodology—design of Hubs, Links and Satellites, and an understanding of its advantages over Star Schema in terms of auditability, historical data tracking and scalability, particularly for data traceability in regulated environments.

  • Visualisation and reporting tools: experience with at least one tool (SAP BI, MicroStrategy, Power BI or equivalent)—ability to design clear reports for business users and maintain them.

  • ETL tools with advanced automation: experience with tools focused on code generation or metadata automation (WhereScape or equivalent)—understanding of the productivity gains and associated constraints.

  • Python: scripting for pipeline automation, data processing and implementation of quality checks—proficiency in core libraries such as pandas, SQLAlchemy, pyodbc or equivalent.

  • Cloud data platforms: working knowledge of at least one modern platform (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or equivalent)—understanding of lakehouse architecture, storage mechanisms and querying methods.

  • Data governance: knowledge of fundamental principles (DAMA or equivalent), including Data Owner and Data Steward roles, quality policies and classification policies—ability to work effectively within an established governance framework.

  • Financial or public sector in BeLux: knowledge of typical data structures (accounting, regulatory reporting, insurance or banking products) and associated compliance requirements (auditability, traceability and GDPR).

Functional skills

Must Have:

  • Ability to structure complex business requirements: identifying priority use cases, defining assumptions and proposing clear trade-offs between business value and technical feasibility.

  • Workshop leadership and facilitation: designing the session structure, facilitating discussions, and providing a structured summary and presentation of outcomes to business stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Full autonomy in managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously: prioritising, escalating blockers and maintaining regular alignment without placing excessive demands on stakeholders.

  • Development of data recommendations: ability to translate technical results into clear business messages and prepare recommendation papers or presentations for decision-makers.

  • Agile / Scrum delivery: active participation in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives), management of a backlog of data deliverables, and the ability to break work down into iterations that deliver usable outcomes.

  • Thorough documentation of delivered solutions: functional specifications, technical documentation and user guides.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and in a structured manner within a cross-functional team in a client environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting change management or user adoption: communication planning, end-user training and monitoring adoption KPIs.

  • Knowledge of data governance methodologies: DAMA, definition of Data Owner / Data Steward roles, and the ability to work within an established governance framework.

Interpersonal skills

Must Have:

  • Focus on results and business value: ability to step back from technical details to serve business objectives and refocus discussions on the value delivered.

  • Clear, structured and persuasive written and verbal communication, including with C-level executives—ability to adapt the level of detail to the audience.

  • A strong sense of responsibility and full ownership of deliverables: commitment to deadlines, transparency about risks and a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles.

Nice to Have:

  • An interest in sharing knowledge and developing less experienced team members.

  • Curiosity about technology and openness to evolving technology stacks and working practices.

Language skills

  • Fluency in French is essential for the role. Dutch is an advantage.

  • English: professional proficiency required.
