THE BACKGROUND

For our client, an EU Financial Institution based in Luxembourg, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a long-term mission on the Advisory Services Application (ASApp), a Bank-wide IT system used for technical assistance and advisory activities.

The mission is on-site, with hybrid options, running from 03/08/2026 to 31/07/2027, with a possible extension of 50% of the initial duration.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You will support business analysis activities for the ASApp application, working closely with the business and IT teams. Your work will combine business analysis with ongoing application support for the user community.

Business Analysis

  • Document current ("As-Is") processes and functionalities

  • Elicit, conceptualise and document business requirements for new IT developments, including reporting needs where applicable

  • Prepare and maintain project deliverables: business cases, detailed requirements, test cases and related documentation

  • Create and update functional documentation, user manuals and other application-related materials

  • Plan, execute and document testing phases

Business Support

  • Provide first-level support for the ASApp application

  • Deliver training sessions to business users and ensure alignment with business processes

  • Identify and implement measures to enhance data quality

  • Manage change and communicate updates effectively to the business community

  • Foster communication with the user community (email, intranet, SmartSite) and coordinate stakeholder consultations

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE

Mandatory Qualifications/Experience:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Business Analyst role, ideally within IT or enterprise application environments

  • Experience in process and functional analysis, including documentation of As-Is processes and functionalities

  • Experience eliciting, structuring and documenting business requirements for IT developments

  • Experience producing project deliverables such as business cases, detailed requirements, test cases and functional/user documentation

  • Experience planning and executing testing phases

  • Demonstrated experience providing application support, delivering user training, and leading change management and communication initiatives with a business community

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Advisory Services, Technical Assistance or similar enterprise applications within international financial institutions

  • Familiarity with change management and multi-channel stakeholder communication (e.g. email, intranet, SmartSite)

  • Experience in data quality management and improvement initiatives

Competencies and Skills to be Demonstrated:

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills, precise and structured

  • Ability to run workshops and elicit requirements directly with business stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging a broad and varied user community

  • Ability to work autonomously while coordinating closely with the Head of Unit/Division

  • Well organised, deadline-driven, and comfortable working on-site in a hybrid set-up
