MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help understand clients’ needs regarding data consumption.

• Identify the source systems that hold this data and perform data profiling.

• Participate in workshops and meetings with business teams to refine requirements and deepen our understanding of how the source systems work.

• Model a data mart (star schema) that meets the analytical needs expressed by the business.

• Develop a SQL prototype of the data mart that reflects our understanding of business requirements.

• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the prototype.

• Develop the Data Vault model for the Data Warehouse layer using WhereScape (BI Automation).

• Develop the data mart using WhereScape, based on the validated prototype.

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role.

• A Master’s degree with a technical IT specialisation is preferred.

• Enjoys teamwork and has excellent communication skills when working with both business teams and technical experts.

• Strong analytical skills, combined with a keen interest in IT challenges related to data processing.

• Advanced SQL proficiency is essential.

• Experience in the insurance sector is an advantage.

• Curious, self-reliant and proactive.

• Strong knowledge of Kimball modelling (star schema) and the ability to translate business requirements into data marts. Knowledge of Data Vault modelling is a plus.

• Proficiency in WhereScape (BI Automation) is an additional advantage.

• Must be available to work on-site in Liège two days a week.

• Fluency in French is essential; knowledge of English is a plus.
