THE BACKGROUND

For our client, a financial European Institution based in Ispra, Italy, we are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a long-term mission in a major EU Institution, For the needs of the client, they would prefer you to be be based within 2 hours of Ispra to work 2,5 days a week, initially at least 1 day on-site in Ispra but after the first month it could be possible to switch to fully-remote within the EU.

More specifically, you will be responsible for…

• Analysing the core part and currently available modules constituting the EVFF platform

• Adapting existing scripts into EVFF analysis modules into the core part of EVFF.

• Customising and adapting user interface components

• Producing technical documentation.

• Providing quality control tests and technical evaluations

• Reporting the development progress

• Interacting with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the other developers

Are you the perfect match?

• Possession of a university degree.

• B2 level English

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar

• Very good knowledge of python programming, with focus on analysis and parsing of a variety of file types (SQLite, binary, csv, etc.), data reporting and unit testing using pytest

• Experience with git versioning tool

• Ability to write efficient, clean and maintainable code

• Ability to apply high quality standards

• Analysis and problem solving skills

• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents

• Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills
