THE BACKGROUND
For our client, a European Institution based in Warsaw, we are looking for an experienced Enterprise Integration Architect to join a long-term mission in a cybersecurity and law enforcement environment.
You will play a key role in shaping and governing the architecture landscape, ensuring alignment between business strategy, ICT solutions, and long-term enterprise vision. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on solution architecture, contributing directly to high-impact public sector initiatives.
YOUR MISSION
As an Enterprise Integration Architect, you will drive architectural excellence across projects and systems by:
Defining and enforcing architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices
Translating business needs into scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures
Designing data, application, and technology architectures (including databases, analytics, and integration layers)
Supporting solution delivery through design oversight, quality assurance, and change management
Evaluating and selecting technologies aligned with enterprise strategy
Ensuring performance, security, and scalability across systems
THE SCOPE
You will contribute to two main areas:
I. Architecture Governance & Standards
Define ICT architecture frameworks, standards, and guidelines
Produce high-level and low-level designs supporting the architecture practice
Ensure consistency across solutions and teams
II. Solution Architecture Services
Provide hands-on architecture support to ICT projects
Guide delivery teams on design decisions and implementation approaches
Balance strategic alignment with practical, solution-level execution
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and maintain enterprise and solution architectures across the full lifecycle
Analyse business requirements and map them to technical solutions and system capabilities
Define data architecture, governance frameworks, and BI/analytics platforms
Lead architectural support for projects (design, implementation, testing)
Integrate systems and assess existing applications and services
Produce clear documentation, architectural artefacts, and presentations
Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement
YOUR TEAM
You will join the ICT Architecture Team, responsible for providing architectural guidance and consultancy across software development initiatives. The role sits at the intersection of enterprise and solution architecture.
Job requirements
YOUR PROFILE
You have a University degree (Master’s) in IT or related field
English level minimum B2 (CEFR) - certificate required
Minimum 8 years of relevant IT experience, including 5+ years in Architecture roles
At least 2 years as Application/Integration Architect (preferably in public sector / EU environment)
Proven experience as lead/key architect in at least one enterprise-wide integration platform deployment
Strong track record in aligning application architecture with business objectives
Experience with hybrid environments (cloud & on-premises) and modern integration approaches
Proficient with modelling tools (e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS or similar)
Familiar with architecture frameworks and standards (TOGAF, Zachman, Azure Well-Architected, EIF, Archimate)
Solid understanding of architecture styles, patterns, and interoperability frameworks
Technical knowledge
Expertise in enterprise integration architecture (data & API level)
Design of integration platforms: connectors, flows, service bus (SOA)
Experience with integration platforms (TIBCO, MuleSoft or similar)
Strong knowledge of integration patterns, standards, and models
Capacity planning and security design for integration platforms
Technologies: middleware, application servers, databases, web applications
Cloud & infrastructure: containerisation, serverless, hybrid architectures
Knowledge of cloud integration patterns and BI concepts
Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and DevSecOps practices
Strong skills in UML and system/application design modelling
Certificates
Relevant certifications (at least 2 mandatory):
IASA CITA-A (or equivalent)
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert / Azure Data Fundamentals
TIBCO Certified Associate / Certified SOA Architect (or similar)
Soft skills:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights
High-quality documentation and presentation skills
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Proven leadership and team guidance capabilities
