For our customer based in Malta - a European Institution, we are looking for a Documentation & Training Specialist to join our team in the area of international protection - supporting Member States in applying the package of EU laws that governs asylum, international protection, and reception conditions. You will play a crucial role in providing practical, legal, technical, advisory, and operational assistance to achieve harmonized asylum practices.
The role is based 100% onsite at the client offices in Valletta, Malta. You need to be based in Malta and have the full work rights to work as a freelancer/contractor (B2B). The duration of the initial mission is short-term for a period of 3 months, and there may be a possibility for an extension of the contract.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
Drafting Product/project technical and non-technical documentation.
Training Material Preparation.
Documentation Maintenance.
Drafting other types of documentation such as guidelines, instructions, manuals, etc.
Coordinating and moderating training sessions in support of change management activities for ongoing
projects/activities.

Job requirements
Are you the perfect match?
University degree (BSc/MSc);
Minimum 6 years of experience in documentation/training;
Proof of experience in the following activities:
Details of solution capabilities were captured and documented exhaustively.
New or updated documentation was produced, including but not limited to, operational manuals, technical guides, business requirements documents, functional specifications documents, project/product documentation, etc.
Consistency among documents/drafts was ensured, confirming accuracy of references/footnotes/captions.
Documentation was maintained/organized for optimal use/retrieval.
Training needs analyses were captured, based on change impact of project/product.
Project/product training programs were designed to meet business adoption targets.
Existing training materials were produced or updated (content and method).
Third-party training material was adapted to support individual competence development in line with organisational needs.
Effective training in different modalities was delivered, including classroom and on-line.
Effectiveness of training was monitored and reported on.
Editor and proof-reader roles were performed by participating in peer reviews.
Documentation was proof-read.
‘How-To’ videos/presentations were created.
